Komen Race for the Cure 2010
Every year AAWCC Oregon walks in the Portland Race for the Cure. Please join us this year! If you can't join us, consider making a donation on behalf of the team. See our AAWCC Oregon Team web page.
Planning for the Race
- When?
- Sunday, September 19, 2010
- How do I sign up?
- Our event is the 5K Walk. There are 4 ways to register:
- Sign up online as a team participant at the Komen Race for the Cure Oregon website if you want our team captain to pick up your shirt (registartion deadline 8/30/10)
- Sign up online as an individual participant at the Komen Race for the Cure Oregon website if you want to pick up your own shirt (registration deadline 9/16/10).
- Registering in person is also possible if you miss the above deadlines:
At the Health Expo:
Friday, September 17th, 10am to 7ppm
Saturday, September 18th, 10am to 4pm
Oregon Convention Center
777 NE MLK Jr. Blvd., Portland - At the Race: Sunday, September 19th. Opens at 6:30am at the south end of Waterfront Park near Taylor Street. Please note: if you need to pick up your own shirt and/or register the day of the race, please give yourself plenty of extra time. There are also lots of booths with free stuff that you may want to visit before meeting up with our team. The lines can be long.
At the Race
- Where do we all meet?
- AAWCC members meet at the World Trade Center at 121 SW Salmon (between 1st and 2nd Ave) at 8:30am, Group Photo at 8:45 (Please arrive earlier if you’d like to check out the booths before the race, and pick up lots of great free stuff.)
